Many of their actions would have less-connected individuals locked up or worse, and yet, Monsanto continues to enjoy their position at the helm of the agrochemical and biotech industries.

Monsanto has even earned itself the nickname of “Monsatan,” a moniker perhaps more befitting of a company that has used its prowess to collude with the EPA to prevent the toxicity of a hazardous chemical from coming to light — but wait, that was Monsanto.

Recently, a judge unsealed documents that showed EPA official Jess Rowland actually promised Monsanto executives that he would find a way to stop another federal agency, the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, from conducting their own assessment of glyphosate.

“If I can kill this I should get a medal,” Rowland said to a Monsanto employee, who then relayed their conversation to coworkers through an email. And it appears Rowland’s efforts worked, as the report on the herbicidal compound was never published.

Other emails have revealed that Monsanto’s William Heydens conspired to help ghostwrite a paper on glyphosate’s safety. Specifically, Heydens suggested that Monsanto could author the portions of the paper on exposure toxicity and genotoxicity. In the email, Heydens even recalled how the same method of ghostwriting was used to handle a similar study in the year 2000.

Then there is the letter from Marion Copley, a now-deceased former EPA scientist. Copley’s letter outlines a number of different ways by which glyphosate can cause cancer and other harmful health effects, such as endocrine disruption and immune system suppression. In the letter, Copley also describes the corruption at the EPA, begging her fellow scientists “to do the right thing” and not make decisions “based on how it affects your bonus.”

“For once in your life, listen to me and don’t play your political conniving games with the science to favor the registrants,” Copley pleads — to none other than Jess Rowland.

The collusion between Monsanto and the EPA is truly only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Monsanto’s evil nature. Over the course of the company’s many years of existence, Monsanto has unleashed many a toxin into the world. Nary a decade goes by where the corporation isn’t stricken with controversy over some new hazardous chemical they’ve created. Their very first chemical was saccharin, an artificial sweetener, but it was soon followed by the development of PCBs. After 50 years, PCBs were banned due to their toxicity and devastating environmental effects.

After developing their first hybrid seed, Monsanto decided to round-out their company by developing industrial chemicals such as detergents, along with synthetic rubbers and plastics. They also ventured into the agrochemical business with the development of dioxin, a toxic pesticide. Eventually, Monsanto would join forces with DOW Chemical to create Agent Orange — we all know how that ended: Thousands of American soldiers and Vietnamese citizens were harmed by the use of this toxic concoction.

Internal memos revealed that Monsanto was well aware of how harmful Agent Orange would be to humans, even before it was sold to the US government.

Monsanto’s reign of terror doesn’t end with their production of toxic chemicals though, now does it? The GMO giant has also been destroying the agricultural industry from the inside out. GMO crops have been attributed to the rising number of farmer suicides in countries like India. In 2008, it was estimated that some 125,000 Indian farmers had taken their own lives, after being tricked into buying GMO seeds they couldn’t afford — and never getting the harvests they were promised. When unable to pay back their debts to the industry, these farmers were left with no recourse, and many resorted to unimaginable means to put their anguish to rest. And the number of farmer suicides has only continued to rise: In 2015, it was estimated that 300,000 farmers had taken their own lives in just the last 20 years.

In addition to all of this, the farming practices associated with GM crops and the chemicals that go along with them are destroying our environment and arable land at an unprecedented pace. Chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides are not just contaminating our soil but our air and water supplies — as well as killing off wildlife in every arena.

To say Monsanto is evil is putting it mildly: This corporation, and others like them, are not just influencing our government, but destroying our planet and our food supply as we know it. (RELATED: Keep up with the latest Monsanto news at MonsantoMafia.com)

This medical experiment wants you lay in bed for 60 days to earn $17,000 /skepticsnews/2017-04-10-this-deadly-medical-experiment-wants-you-lay-in-bed-for-17000-and-60-day.html Mon, 10 Apr 2017 16:17:16 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/skepticsnews/2017-04-10-this-deadly-medical-experiment-wants-you-lay-in-bed-for-17000-and-60-day.html If you love your bed and consider sleeping a hobby, then you could be earning some serious cash in the name of science. The French Institute for Space Medicine and Physiology (Medes) in Toulouse has announced a plan to pay 24 individuals €16,000 ($17,066) to stay in bed for two months straight as part of a study on microgravity. The study is led by the Centre National D’Etudes Spatiales (CNES) and conducted in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA).

The French scientists are currently looking for 24 physically active, healthy, non-smoking men, aged between 20 and 45, to take part in the experiment. Furthermore, the men must have a body mass index (BMI) between 22 and 27. Half of them will also be given a cocktail of medicines — including anti-inflammatory drugs and antioxidant-rich food supplements — that should counter the effects of weightlessness on the body.

Dr. Arnaud Beck, the coordinating physician of the study, told the French newspaper 20 Minutes that the idea of the experiment is to simulate the weightlessness of the International Space Station (ISS). Since launching people into space is too expensive to explore the effects of microgravity on the body, scientists have to come up with other means to test the effects of prolonged periods of weightlessness on the body.

In total, the experiment will take three months. The first two weeks, the volunteers will be tested and examined before they are put to bed for 60 days with their head slightly tilted down six degrees below their feet. According to a CNES press release, this reclined position will simulate the effects of weightlessness by shifting blood towards the upper body, causing similar changes in blood volume, cardiac performance, and vascular resistance as one would experience in space. The 60-day period is then followed by a two-week rehabilitation program to study the effects this horizontal-living had on their bodies.

Harming people in the name of science

If we got you all excited and ready to send in your application, you might want to consider the drawbacks. It can damage your body in several ways, and might not be as easy and fun as it sounds. Think about it. Volunteers must remain in bed, with at least one shoulder touching the bed, and they cannot set foot on the ground. They’ll have to eat, wash, go to the toilet, and exercise without coming out of a lying-down position.

Bed rest studies are actually nothing new. Many people have been bound for extended times to a bed in space project experiments. Drew Iwanicki is one of them. In 2014, NASA paid him $18,000 to lie down in bed for 70 days to learn more about how bone and muscle might deteriorate in space. Vice ran a story on Drew Iwanicki during and after the three months in bed.

From the second Drew put his head on the pillow, he was fighting the minus six-degree angle and gravitational pull. He was often in pain (headaches, back, neck, and spine pain) and his digestion was not working properly. Apart from being bored and ready to throw in the towel, he struggled with anxiety episodes and was constantly on the brink of a mental breakdown.

Just before he entered the hospital, Drew had just finished his first Ironman race and was in top form. Not much of that immense strength remained just after the experiment. If the 70 days weren’t already a violent attack on Drew’s body, when he was finally allowed to stand up he almost immediately collapsed and had to go back to a horizontal position for another day. Would you put your body through all this stress in the name of science?

Google to start labeling true news “false” and fake news “true” – algorithm assumes official fake news sources always tell the truth /skepticsnews/2017-04-10-google-to-start-labeling-true-news-false-and-fake-news-true-algorithm-assumes-official-fake-news-sources-always-tell-the-truth.html Mon, 10 Apr 2017 16:07:22 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/skepticsnews/2017-04-10-google-to-start-labeling-true-news-false-and-fake-news-true-algorithm-assumes-official-fake-news-sources-always-tell-the-truth.html Who could have imagined that one of the largest media companies on the planet – begun in the United States, where freedom of speech and expression is enshrined in our founding document – would become one of the biggest censors since Nazi Brown Shirts roamed Germany burning books and beating political opponents?

Welcome to Google 2017, where far-Left ideologues who manage the company’s media operations are set to decide what their readers can and cannot see, based solely on political ideology.

As reported by The Guardian, Google – which is following Facebook’s lead – has tweaked its news-gathering algorithm to weed out so-called “fake news” that it claims is spreading “misinformation” via the Internet:

Google is to start displaying fact-checking labels in its search results to highlight news and information that has been vetted and show whether it is considered to be true or false, as part of its efforts to help combat the spread of misinformation and fake news.

The fact-checking feature, which was first introduced to Google News in the UK and US in October, will now be displayed as an information box in general search results as well as news search results globally.

How will this work? According to the report, there will be small segments of information displayed regarding claims made in certain news reports on particular sites, in addition to so-called fact-checking of the highlighted claims. (RELATED: Google, YouTube waging “demonetization” WAR on alternative media to bankrupt independent journalism)

In other words, if a Google (or Facebook) editor believes the claims to be false – such as, say, a claim by us that there is no evidence to support the Democratic and establishment media narrative that “Russia hacked the election to help Donald Trump,” even if we offer proof in our reporting – that story will be accompanied with a “fake news” label.

The next step, mind you, will be out-and-out censorship, along the lines of what CNN host Don Lemon did last week after the bombshell story broke outing former Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice as the one who unmasked Trump campaign and transition team members, for political purposes.

Because he is an Obama sycophant and because he believes the story to be false and a “diversion” from the real story (Trump-Putin “collusion” – which didn’t happen), he made the decision to purposefully ignore it.

Nevertheless, Google and Facebook are defending their decisions to arbitrarily assign ‘fake news’ labels to any stories they don’t like or don’t agree with.

“With thousands of new articles published online every minute of every day, the amount of content confronting people can be overwhelming,” said Cong Yu of Google and Justin Kosslyn from fact-check partner Jigsaw, in a statement. “And unfortunately, not all of it is factual or true, making it hard for people to distinguish fact from fiction. (RELATED: Google To Start Flagging Content Found To Be “Offensive” By Crybully Snowflakes Who Are Triggered By Reality)

“As we make fact checks more visible in search results, we believe people will have an easier time reviewing and assessing these fact checks, and making their own informed opinions.”

Let’s be clear about one thing: There certainly is a fair amount of fake news being published online, but much of it is coming from the Marxist media establishment that includes networks like CNN, as well as legacy newspapers like The New York Times and the Washington Post.

Time and again, in the lead-up to the Nov. 8 election with fake polls showing a massive Hillary Clinton win, to fake news reports claiming Russia used hundreds of websites to spread anti-Clinton propaganda, to the wholly discredited “Russia hacked the election to help Trump” narrative, it’s been the so-called “mainstream media” that has been discredited. But because it shares a far-Left Marxist ideology with the founders of Google and Facebook, the fact-filled alternative media – which regularly publishes reports that diminish Alt-Left Democrats – are the ones regularly punished.

If you seriously want to avoid being duped by the social media giants who now actively censoring real media on their news feeds, bypass them and monitor Censored.news throughout the day, where truth is always available.

The astonishing TRUE story of a CDC criminal conspiracy and the international fugitive from justice who faked vaccine research /skepticsnews/2017-04-09-the-astonishing-true-story-of-cdc-criminal-conspiracy-and-the-international-fugitive-who-faked-vaccine-research.html Mon, 10 Apr 2017 05:13:44 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/skepticsnews/2017-04-10-the-astonishing-true-story-of-cdc-criminal-conspiracy-and-the-international-fugitive-who-faked-vaccine-research.html If you don’t know the story of Poul Thorsen, CDC vaccine researcher, fraudster, con artist and international fugitive from justice, you don’t know the real story about the CDC at all. (And the vaccine industry hopes you never find out…)

The best book on this subject is called Master Manipulator – The Explosive True Story of Fraud Embezzlement and Government Betrayal at the CDC by James Ottar Grundvig. You can find the book at this Barnes & Noble link.

The book features a foreward by famed investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson and an introduction by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. from the World Mercury Project.

I strongly urge you to get this book. Amazon.com also has it available in hardcover or kindle editions.

Every member of Congress should be required to read this book. It’s that explosive. It tells the shocking but true story of deep corruption and criminality inside the CDC… a story the entire corporate-run media (CNN, NYT, WashPo etc.) deliberately covers up to deceive the American public.

Here, I’m reprinting the Foreward and Introduction to give you a taste of what you’ll find in the book. What you’re about to read here will astonish and anger you because it pulls back the veil on a criminal cabal known as the CDC that’s engaged in a felony racketeering operation that should be investigated under RICO Act laws.

Read on and decide for yourself… (if you cite any of the text below, be sure to give credit to the book called “Master Manipulator” by James Ottar Grundvig).

FOREWORD BY SHARYL ATTKISSON

Today fraudulent research and corruption are sadly becoming more commonplace. The case of Poul Thorsen, for example, stands out in terms of shameless audacity—stealing grant money meant for autism research. His actions only add to the questions of alleged corruption surrounding the Danish Studies designed to erase any association between vaccines and autism, sponsored by the world’s premier public health agency: the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

One might expect fraud and corruption in government, but many Americans will be surprised to hear of it inside the CDC, the same agency that fumbled the arrival of Ebola virus on US shores in 2014. The fact that the CDC would contract with the likes of Dr. Thorsen on crucial research of vaccines and autism, and never consider setting aside his findings after his twenty-two-count criminal indictment, speaks to the waning credibility of the world’s premiere public health agency.

INTRODUCTION BY ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR.

Statistics don’t lie, the saying goes, but statisticians do. As an environmental lawyer and veteran of hundreds of legal battles with some of the world’s biggest polluters, I know that statistical—or epidemiological studies—are the go-to weapon of industry junk scientists. These hired guns—so called tobacco scientists—know that “fixing the science” or an epidemiological study is as easy as lighting up a smoke. For example, one could easily design an epidemiological study to “prove” that sex does not make one pregnant. The trick is simply to get rid of all the pregnant people before one analyzes the data. Now you have a study that shows lots of people having sex without consequence. Voila! That’s one of the many tricks CDC’s star biostitute, Poul Thorsen, used to deceive the public about the evidence linking mercury laced vaccines to autism. Prior to conducting his MMR study, Thorsen used “exclusions” to eliminate children with autism from the target population. Employing this and an inventory of other magician subterfuges, Thorsen authored a Danish study that CDC, for years, has been presenting as its gold standard evidence that thimerosal doesn’t cause autism.

This is a story of how CDC used a con man to gull the public and ended up getting conned itself! Poul Thorsen is a world-class villain whose manipulation of health data gave CDC and big pharma what they wanted: a report clearing thimerosal of any possible role in the autism crisis. His story merits a book length expose because the fraud he casually helped orchestrate has had a monumental impact on the health of millions of children globally.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) most often cites Poul Thorsens crooked research as the final word on the controversy linking vaccines to autism. CDC rarely mentions that Poul Thorsen is the subject of a twenty-two-count, 2011 indictment by the U.S. Department of justice for wire fraud and money laundering in connection with more than $1 million in research grants that he pilfered from CDC while he ginned up fraudulent studies to “prove” that vaccines don’t cause autism.1 His crimes have won him a mug shot on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) “most wanted” list.2 Thorsen’s former employer, Aarhus University—Denmark’s university hospital system—permanently expelled him from practice in 2010.The fact that he is roaming free in Denmark and is easy to find, despite the federal indictment, indicates a lack of enthusiasm by HHS to file the necessary extradition papers and press for his capture. The agency has good reason to fear that a public trial would expose the pervasive corruption throughout CDC’s vaccine division and the fragility of the science supporting CDC’s claims about vaccine safety.

Dr. Thorsen is one of seven co-authors and the data manager for the two leading foreign studies offered by CDC as the foundation for its claims that vaccines do not cause autism. For nearly a decade, critics have pointed out that CDC’s Danish studies are thinly veiled flimflam.3 Besides employing the threadworm gimmick of manipulating exclusions to selectively eliminate kids, on some studies, with autism diagnoses from the study pool,Thorsen and his co-author used another novel dodge to “exculpate” mercury-laced vaccines. Thorsen’s trick was not even a sophisticated brand of junk science, but it was a devastatingly effective way to deliver the conclusion CDC wanted. Thorsen’s Madsen et al. 2003 (“Madsen 2003”),4 purported to exonerate thimerosal—the mercury-based vaccine preservative as the causative agent in the autism epidemic by showing that autism rates in Denmark increased after the Danish government removed thimerosal from vaccines in 1992.5 But even the most casual critic could see that the increase in Danish autism was illusory since it was not actually based on an increased incidence of the disease. It was simply an artifact of Denmark’s new reporting protocols.

Here’s how Thorsen and his cronies pulled off this fraud: In 1993, the same year Denmark removed thimerosal-containing vaccines from distribution, it coincidentally required, for the first time, that outpatient autism cases be reported on the government s national disease registry. Prior to 1993, only inpatient cases were reported. These represented less than 10 percent of the total. Denmark’s new reporting protocols increased the reported autism incidence cases by nearly 1300 percent. Dr.Thorsen and his pals took advantage of that artificial rise to suggest that real autism incidence had increased following thi-merosal’s ban.The authors also violated established peer-review scientific protocols by deleting the entire 2001-year class of seven-year-olds from the final published version.6 That deletion was flagrant research fraud. The 2001 cohort was the first to be entirely free from thimerosal exposure in their vaccines. The subsequent analysis (Gronborg et al. 2013) of that data showed a steady decline in autism rates over a ten-year period following the removal of thimerosal in 1992.

Emails obtained under the Freedom of Information laws show that Thorsen, his co-authors, and CDC officials were all aware of these frauds when they published the study. Responsible journals, including Lancet and JAMA, rejected the Madsen study. It took a letter from the CDC’s Jose Cordero, then director of its new National Center for Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD),7 to strong-arm a lesser journal, Pediatrics, to finally publish the study. Pediatrics has earned notoriety as a frequent publisher of vaccine industry junk science. Pediatrics raises a substantial portion of its operating budget from vaccine makers. Pediatrics is the journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics, which is notorious for its conflicts with big donors. In 2016, the AAP was forced to drop its multi-million donor, Coca-Cola, as it’s only “gold sponsor.” In exchange for $3 million over six years, AAP had been shilling for the sugary drink maker, which it called a distinguished company due to Coke’s commitment to “better the health of children worldwide. AAP only ended the mercenary romance when published exposes disclosed that Coke had been paying hired scientists to fix the science to “prove” that sugary drinks were not the culprit in the obesity epidemic.

At the 2007 National Academy of Sciences/Institute of Medicine (IOM) meeting, “Autism and the Environment: Challenges and Opportunity for Research,” Dr. Irva Hertz-Picciotti, an internationally renowned environmental epidemiologist from the University of California, Davis, criticized the Madsen 2003 study for deliberately blurring outpatient and inpatient data sets: “The study, therefore is not a rigorous design, because you cannot compare the before and after periods because of artifacts in how the database was constructed, and specifically how it changed over time.” When CDC scientists finally took an authentic look at the Danish autism data a decade later, they demolished the conclusions in Madsen 2003. CDC’s subsequent study, Gronborg et al. 2013, published in JAMA Pediatrics8 directly contradicted Thorsen and Madsen. Gronborg and her co-authors found a 33 percent drop in autism spectrum disorder incidence in Denmark following the withdrawal of thimerosal in 1992.

Thorsen was also data manager for Kreesten Madsen’s companion study on the MMR vaccine, Madsen et al 2002.9 That study used similar deceptive statistical devices and flawed data to “prove” MMR safety.10 That study employed CDC’s trademark ruse of including many children who were too young to receive the autism diagnosis, which at that point usually occurred at age four in Denmark. CDC epidemiologists have consistently used this ploy in their phony autism research to dampen the autism signal in various studies. The 2002 Madsen MMR study also included a substantial number of unvaccinated children and employed a suite of other statistical gimmicks to mask the association with the MMR vaccine and dampen the autism signal.

Having trained in CDC’s sophisticated fraud during his apprenticeship with the two notorious Madsen studies, it’s no wonder that Poul Thorsen felt so at ease stealing more than $1 million that CDC had directed Thorsen to spend on managing data for those and other studies.

As James Grundvig brilliantly points out in the pages that follow, without Poul Thorsen, there would have been no Danish studies for the CDC to misuse all these years as the spear tip for its propaganda campaign on vaccine safety.

However, Grundvig gives us more; Thorsen was not a lone bad apple. Grundvig shows that CDC insiders, including Dr. Frank DeStefano (Director of the Immunization Safety Office); Dr. Marshalyn-Yeargin-Allsopp (Head of the Developmental Disabilities Branch); Dr. Diana Schendel, a CDC epidemiologist research scientist and Thorsen s longtime girlfriend, who in 2014 took a permanent position in the epidemiology department at Aarhus University, where Thorsen committed the theft of autism research money; and Dr. Coleen Boyle (Director of the National Center for Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities) fully supported and orchestrated Thorsen s fraud. Boyle made her bones at CDC as lead investigator of 1984-1987 Congressional investigation of Agent Orange. In that post, Boyle and her team reported “no association” between the jungle defoliant dioxin and the grim inventory of rare cancers and autoimmune diseases that sickened tens of thousands of U.S. troops who fought in the war. Her work allowed the government to deny benefits and treatment for sickened soldiers for five years. In 1990, the Pentagon admitted during congressional hearings that Agent Orange was indeed the culprit.Today, Boyle is the director of CDC’s National Center for Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities. According to Dr. William Thompson, a seventeen-year CDC senior vaccine safety scientist and current CDC employee who recently filed for whistleblower status, Boyle and her team of researchers committed research fraud in a subsequent 2004 American study to conceal numbers suggesting that the MMR vaccine was associated with higher rates of autism in African-American children.

Poul Thorsen, the Master Manipulator, is the dark wizard of a federal agency that is steeped in corruption and compromised by financial entanglements with the pharmaceutical industry. Thorsen participated in a criminal conspiracy with his CDC bosses to distort science and fleece the American taxpayer. He then turned on his cronies and stole the money CDC paid him to conjure up his phony research. Thorsen’s greatest crime, however, is the epidemic of millions of children with developmental disabilities who are the legacy of his fraud.

Dr. Poul Thorsen should be arrested and brought back to the United States to stand trial and receive justice. If that happens, we might see those in the CDC who sponsored his fraud be held finally accountable.

Impossible Foods’ plant-based burger is made from genetically modified soybeans and “yeast extract” excitotoxins /skepticsnews/2017-04-09-impossible-foods-plant-based-burger-is-made-from-genetically-modified-soybeans-and-yeast-extract-excitotoxins.html Mon, 10 Apr 2017 04:15:49 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/skepticsnews/2017-04-10-impossible-foods-plant-based-burger-is-made-from-genetically-modified-soybeans-and-yeast-extract-excitotoxins.html Impossible Foods’ plant-based burger, known as the Impossible Burger, has been making headlines thanks to its realistic qualities. The burger is even said to bleed like real meat, and boasts claims of being environmentally friendly and “100% free of hormones, antibiotics and artificial ingredients.”

This, of course, is quite deceptive — especially for something that contains GMO ingredients that are no doubt grown with the help of Roundup, a toxic weed killer. Beyond that, the Impossible Burger also contains “yeast extract”  — which is a notorious euphemism for the well-known excitotoxin, monosodium glutamate, or MSG. So, should you really buy into the hype surrounding this new meatless burger that bleeds?  It certainly seems that there are plenty of reasons not to.

The problem with GMO soy

GMO soy is one such reason. Soy, and especially genetically modified varieties, have been linked to a number of ill effects. For example, there are many concerns about the phytoestrogens and goitrogens found in soy products. These compounds have been linked to cancer and thyroid problems, among other health issues. Processed soy-containing foods made with unfermented soy, in particular, are of great concern.

While the “heme” found in the Impossible Burger is reportedly comprised of a fermented soy and yeast concoction, the burger still boasts soy protein isolate as an ingredient. As a 2009 report from Cornucopia revealed, the overwhelming majority of soy protein is processed using hexane. Hexane is a toxic solvent that is used for extraction. It’s also a neurotoxic byproduct of the gasoline refining industry. Most soy protein isolate is created via a hexane bath.

As Cornucopia’s Behind the Bean report reveals, “The soy protein ingredients in most nonorganic foods such as vegetarian burgers and nutrition bars are processed with the use of hexane.” The Impossible Burger is not an organic burger at this time — which leaves the door open for hexane residues in their soy protein isolate. Hexane residues of up to 21 parts per million were found in the soy meal often used to create soy protein for food products, including veggie burgers and infant formula.

Soy protein processing practices don’t just endanger the food supply, however. The processing of soy via hexane is also problematic for the environment. Even the EPA considers hexane to be a “hazardous air pollutant.”And as the Cornucopia report reveals, even products that claim to use “natural” ingredients or “natural soy” likely still contain hexane-extracted soy protein.

These issues are compounded by the fact that most soy grown and used for food products is of a genetically modified variety — and as we all know, GMOs come with their own set of concerns. Beyond the inadequate safety testing of GMO crops, there are several issues with GMO soy. Food Matters reports a recent study found that GM soybeans come with a disturbingly high formaldehyde content — a known carcinogen– and also a lower content of glutathione. Glutathione is a natural antioxidant that’s integral to the body’s natural detoxification processes.

And in 2014, research revealed that GM soy also boasted high amounts of glyphosate and glyphosate breakdown products — in fact, the GM soybeans had levels of glyphosate that the scientists described as “greater than is typical for most vitamins.”  The researchers said their findings indicated that GM soy soaks up glyphosate during the growing season. Glyphosate is the key ingredient to Roundup, Monsanto’s star herbicide, and it’s been associated with a myriad of health issues. (RELATED: Read more stories about glyphosate’s toxicity at Glyphosate.news)

Yeast extract: the “natural” name for MSG

Free glutamate is the active ingredient in MSG, but MSG is not the only place it can be found. Several other food additives, such as yeast extract, contain large amounts of free glutamate. And when an additive contains less than 78 percent free glutamate, the term “MSG” does not need to appear on a food label — just the name of the ingredient. Yeast extract is a very common flavor enhancer that contains free glutamate, and because it has such a “natural” sound to it, it’s often used to flavor so-called “natural” processed foods — like the Impossible Burger.

MSG has been associated with a wide range of negative effects, largely impart due to its ability to excite the nervous system — which is why it’s considered by many to be an “excitotoxin.” This over-stimulation yields an inflammatory response. In turn, MSG consumption has been linked to migraines, hives, burning sensations, upset stomachs, and muscle fatigue or tightness. But research has shown that the effects of MSG don’t end there: The excitotoxic nature of MSG can cause neurons to essentially excite themselves to death. Neuroscientist Dr. John Olney found that MSG actually damages parts of the brain.

The effects of MSG can be cumulative, meaning that repeated exposures over a period of time can lead to negative consequences, but the effects are not necessarily immediate. Because humans have more glutamate receptors than the animals often used for testing, such as rats, we are actually more susceptible to the damage MSG is capable of creating.

The only “impossible” thing about the Impossible Burger is that it’s impossible to consider this burger “healthy” and “all-natural.”

All the things progressives love to buy are destroying the planet and increasing human suffering /skepticsnews/2017-04-09-all-the-things-progressives-love-to-buy-are-destroying-the-planet-and-increasing-human-suffering.html Sun, 09 Apr 2017 17:18:12 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/skepticsnews/2017-04-09-all-the-things-progressives-love-to-buy-are-destroying-the-planet-and-increasing-human-suffering.html Many Mother Earth-loving, social progressives, and diehard political socialists love to talk a big game about things like saving the planet, ending world hunger, saving the middle class, and stopping corporate fascism. But when it comes down to what this “party of the people,” Democrats included, actually does on a day-to-day basis, it becomes clear that many of these folks are tried-and-true hypocrites.

Take the anti-fossil fuel crowd, for instance. These folks would love nothing more than to convert society into a hybrid-driving, mass transit-taking “green” paradise. But little do they know that even these modes of transportation include the use of things like petroleum-based plastics and batteries that run off of rare earth minerals that greatly contribute to environmental destruction.

Despite their better gas mileage – or in the case of electric cars, general mileage – fuel-saving and fuel-eliminating vehicles still run on energy that has to come from somewhere. Both coal and nuclear power plants provide electricity for electric cars at a substantial rate in the U.S., and neither of these methods is considered safe or “green” by any stretch of the imagination.

“Although the battery-powered car itself doesn’t produce any emissions, the power plant that generates the electricity used to charge those batteries probably does,” writes David Biello for Scientific American.

Or how about the ever popular iPhone? Plenty of progressives carry around these devices, often with an Apple portable computer in tow as well, despite Apple’s widely-published failure to protect its overseas workers in places like China. Working conditions at these Apple factories are so bad that some workers are committing suicide as an escape.

“Even if I was hungry, I wouldn’t want to get up to eat. I just wanted to lie down and rest…” reported one Apple worker to an undercover BBC correspondent about how exhausted he is after a day on the job building iPhones. According to this same gentleman, he often has to work 16-hour shifts just to keep up with the demands of his superiors.

“I was unable to sleep at night because of the stress.”

Solar panels, CFL lightbulbs not nearly as ‘green’ as progressives would have us all believe

Another big buzzworthy topic for progressives is the use of solar panels, which are supposed to be a clean source of energy to replace things like coal and nuclear power. Solar panels appear to be sustainable in that they provide unlimited energy, so long as the sun is shining, without the need for a reactor or some other external input.

But a closer look reveals that these, like the batteries in electric and hybrid cars, require rare earth minerals that can be difficult to obtain. Besides their scarcity, these rare earth minerals require extensive excavation to be dislodged from their underground locales. The same is true for other “green” technologies like LED and CFL lightbulbs, which were supposed to save the planet from global warming.

“The move toward new and better technologies – from smart phones to electric cars – means an ever-increasing demand for exotic metals that are scarce thanks to both geology and politics,” explains a report by Yale University.

“Thin, cheap solar panels need tellurium, which makes up a scant 0.0000001 percent of the earth’s crust, making it three times rarer than gold. High-performance batteries need lithium, which is only easily extracted from briny pools in the Andes.”

There will come a point, in other words, when even many “green” technologies exceed all the hype and reveal themselves to be unsustainable. The world is already seeing this with the growing rarity of the materials required to manufacture them.

Danger: Latex in vaccine packaging, including rubber caps for syringes and vials, an overlooked severe allergy problem for millions of Americans to consider /skepticsnews/2017-04-08-danger-latex-in-vaccine-packaging-including-rubber-caps-for-syringes-and-vials-an-overlooked-severe-allergy-problem-for-millions-of-americans-to-consider.html Sat, 08 Apr 2017 15:42:56 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/skepticsnews/2017-04-08-danger-latex-in-vaccine-packaging-including-rubber-caps-for-syringes-and-vials-an-overlooked-severe-allergy-problem-for-millions-of-americans-to-consider.html Nearly three million Americans, including children and infants, are allergic to natural rubber latex. More than 15 percent of health care workers are also allergic to latex. Nearly 70 percent of children with spina bifida and anyone who has had multiple surgeries is at risk of suffering mild, moderate, severe or even deadly reactions. These “side effects” of exposure include breaking out in hives or welts, the affected area swelling intensely, abdominal cramping, chest tightness, wheezing, shortness of breath (resembling asthma), and if exposure to latex continues, an allergic reaction may lead to anaphylaxis – a life-threatening reaction.

You may be wondering how many healthcare workers there are in the USA? Answer: Over 18 million. Multiply that by 15 percent, you get 2.7 million affected people with latex allergies. Should they all be force vaccinated, thus risking their lives, in order to simply keep their jobs? That seems insane. Now, add that number (the 2.7 million) to the three million people allergic to latex that don’t work in the healthcare industry and also to the children with spina bifida, plus people who have had multiple surgeries.

So now how many people should be able to fill out exemption forms regarding allergies to latex so they don’t have to get any vaccines that are packaged with rubber needle caps or vial stoppers? And just how many vaccines and which ones come with rubber needle caps and rubber vial stoppers? Answer: A good majority. We’ll cover that in just a minute.

Rubber caps for vaccine needles and serum vials can contaminate a vaccine and cause the patient to go into anaphylactic shock

When someone allergic to latex rubber gloves becomes exposed to them, it can trigger an anaphylactic response, where a protein called histamine is released from several tissues in their body. They often experience several of the following symptoms: Hives, swelling, dilated blood vessels, a sharp drop in blood pressure, nausea, vomiting and difficulty breathing. These can be life-threatening and require immediate attention. Is it ironic or compelling that most of these symptoms are identical to the “side effects” listed on nearly every vaccine insert sheet?

During this anaphylactic reaction, offending protein in the allergen(s) is absorbed in the body (or driven unnaturally into muscle tissue as with vaccine injections), bypassing the digestive defense process, the skin and the lungs. American doctors know this but refuse to discuss with their patients that vaccines can contain trace amounts of latex from the rubber needle caps and rubber vial stoppers. That’s not to mention the fact that, according to the CDC and FDA websites, vaccines contain infected African Green Monkey kidney cells, blood pooled from aborted human fetuses, mercury (listed as thimerosal in flu shots), deadly pig viruses, genetically modified viruses in combination (called recombinant), and even sodium chloride.

Plus, allergic hypersensitive reactions to natural rubber latex can be immediate or delayed, producing clinical symptoms including anaphylactic shock. It’s important to realize that immediate allergic reactions are closely associated with endogenous protein components of the natural rubber latex materials. This is why the secretive vaccine court has paid out billions to vaccine damaged victims of this chemical-medical violence we call “safe and effective” immunization.

Question: Do any doctors ever ask their patients or parents of children and babies if they are allergic to latex before giving them immunizations?

Let’s dig deeper into this “puzzling” problem of latex. Common latex products include gloves, balloons, diaphragms, condoms, adhesive bandages, resistance bands (often used for physical therapy), baby bottle nipples and pacifiers, the material used to seal root canals (think about that for a minute), orthodontic elastics, blood pressure cuffs, stethoscope tubing, tourniquets, red rubber catheters, vial stoppers and needle caps on syringes used for nearly all vaccines, dishwashing gloves, rubber bands, erasers, spandex and even latex mattresses.

When in doubt, leave it out, they say. Check the manufacturer’s vaccine package insert that comes with every single vaccine. Here’s a short list of the disease jabs that come packed with rubber vial stoppers and/or rubber syringe caps: Anthrax, Infanrix, PedvaxHIB, ActHIB, the Hepatitis A syringe, Vaqta vial and syringe, Hepatitis B syringe, Recombivax HB, Cervarix HPV, Agriflu syringe tip cap, Flucelvax flu shot, and even chemotherapy vials. Do you really think the doctors will ever blame the insane ingredients and contamination of vaccines?

Also realize that, according to research, procedures like removing the stopper still do not eliminate the risk of latex contamination. Many clinics consider it “impractical” to remove the stopper and dangerous allergic reactions increase with multiple injections. Imagine what’s happening to American babies that get dozens of toxic jabs in their first two years of life.

Top eight so-called “conspiracy theories” over the past decade that turned out to be completely TRUE and accurate /skepticsnews/2017-04-08-top-eight-so-called-conspiracy-theories-over-the-past-decade-that-turned-out-to-be-completely-true-and-accurate.html Sat, 08 Apr 2017 15:38:29 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/skepticsnews/2017-04-08-top-eight-so-called-conspiracy-theories-over-the-past-decade-that-turned-out-to-be-completely-true-and-accurate.html The mass media works very, very hard at lying to the American people about anything and everything that damages our health, safety, privacy and the environment. The reason the mainstream media works so hard at being complete scumbags is because nearly every sponsor who advertises on television promotes toxic food, dangerous chemical medicine, pesticides that pollute the environment, and personal care products that cause disease and disorder.

If you have any doubts about this whatsoever, all you have to do is closely examine the top eight so-called “conspiracy theories” over the past decade that turned out to be completely TRUE and accurate.

#1. The US Government is spying on its own citizens all the time

Oh, yes he did. Edward Snowden blew the biggest whistle since Paul Revere when he proved to America that the NSA (in tandem with the FBI and CIA) spies on every single American, while violating the Constitution, basic liberties and personal privacy laws, by recording and collecting data on us all through emails, phone calls, social media, Skype, smart TVs, smart meters, and more.

The 29-year-old “technical” wizard worked at the National Security Agency and was able to sneak out with a thumb drive that mapped out the PRISM program – the exact way NSA spies on all Americans all the time. Until that time, anyone who claimed the American Government was spying on its own people was labeled a nut-job “conspiracy theorist” who was paranoid and needed psychological help. My how the tables have turned.

#2. Vaccines cause autism, autoimmune diseases, brain damage, central nervous system disorders and the spread of the very diseases which they’re supposed to prevent

For decades, the medical “holy grail” has been vaccines. Ever since the over-hyped polio vaccine was “discovered” and “cured polio,” the medical quacks have been totally successful at calling anyone who questions or criticizes the dangerous chemicals in vaccines “quacks” and charlatans themselves. Parents whose children have been severely injured or killed by vaccines and sue or complain are called “anti-vaxxers” and are persecuted for their beliefs.

It’s almost as though we’re living in medieval times. But then the lead scientist at the CDC blew the whistle on the whole facade just a few years ago, admitting in complete shame that the MMR vaccine does cause autism and that the CDC science team covered up the research and destroyed the evidence so Americans couldn’t find out the truth. Yes, Dr. William Thompson admitted to the world that the CDC is corrupt to the core and he bled out the truth about toxic vaccines that cause autism, among other atrocities.

#3. Global warming is a hoax and a political money-making scheme

It really sounded believable for the longest time. Hey, the earth’s getting hotter and hotter because we’re all exploiting natural resources and living irresponsibly. Well, we are, but it’s not. Politicians and shill scientists got together and altered data, faked graphs, skewed the research, and simply left out massive troves of information that prove the earth is not getting hotter, and humans have nothing at all to do with climate change.

In fact, at just barely over 400 ppm, the current CO2 level in Earth’s atmosphere is, without question, close to the lowest it’s ever been in the history of the planet. The New York Times and the Washington Post are both major players in the great Ponzi scheme of global warming, as was Al Gore. It’s a bunch of debunked pseudoscience, and everyone who knows the truth is labeled by the mainstream media as “anti-science.” Funny how the liars accuse everyone else of what they really are themselves.

#4. The measles vaccine is far more deadly than the actual measles virus

From 2004 to 2015, there were 108 deaths due to the measles vaccine, yet there were zero deaths due to measles virus itself. So go figure. All the chemical-based allopathic “health authorities” always blame the unvaccinated children when there is a measles outbreak or “epidemic” or even “pandemic,” but the truth is more vaccinated children get sick from the very diseases against which they are immunized. It’s called shedding, and it dismantles and debunks the whole “herd theory.” The vaccinated shed the virus to their own vaccinated counterparts and the mass media blames the unvaccinated, and round and round the lie goes like a merry-go-round.

#5. Obamacare is a scam

In order to get more people to take chemical medications and make the big pharma corporations richer through monopolies, the government passed the sham that is known as Obamacare.

#6. The HPV vaccine is dangerous and unnecessary

Just type “HPV vaccine damage UK” in your favorite search engine. Use GoodGopher.com to search the independent media.

#7. Vaccines still contain mercury

Just check out the CDC’s own vaccine excipient list of ingredients in most influenza vaccines! It’s hidden in plain sight under the name thimerosal.

#8. Genetically modified organisms in food can cause cancer

Just ask the world’s top scientists who prove it in the laboratory with study after study.

The Polio vaccine never did work as we were promised – here’s how Big Pharma pulled off the biggest medical scam in American history /skepticsnews/2017-04-07-the-polio-vaccine-never-did-work-as-promised-biggest-medical-scam-in-american-history.html Sat, 08 Apr 2017 02:04:57 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/skepticsnews/2017-04-08-the-polio-vaccine-never-did-work-as-promised-biggest-medical-scam-in-american-history.html What you probably don’t know about Western Medicine is that infectious diseases virtually disappeared before vaccines were ever invented. Since the early 1900s, it has been a known scientific fact that an animal that survives an attack from poliomyelitis becomes resistant to subsequent infections forever. It’s also a known fact that polio is one of the least serious infectious diseases, despite the fear-mongering propaganda that suggests just the opposite.

You see, most people in history who have been infected with polio incur a mild infection lasting only a few days. Yes, there is a rare complication of the disease that can destroy motor cells in the brain and spinal cord. This is the complication that Big Pharma and the US government use to coerce people into getting vaccinated with various experimental strains of the virus that have never been proven to provide humans with lasting immunity.

In fact, the factors that actually caused the decline of polio after 1950 did not include the famous Dr. Salk “miracle” vaccine at all. The large-scale polio vaccination program was a complete and utter failure, and according to the August 1997 edition of the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, more than half of children affected by poliomyelitis received three doses of the oral polio vaccine before the onset of paralysis. The truth? The true causes of the spread of Polio include pre-polio vaccines, nutritional imbalances and pesticides, all of which contribute to immune deficiency.

CDC declares useless Polio vaccine “safe, potent and efficient” while the media declare it the “greatest medical discovery of the century”

Here’s how it all went down. One year after scientists discovered they could grow the polio viruses in tissue cultures, Dr. Jonas Salk was paid by five pharma companies to brew the polio virus in monkey kidney cells and dilute them with formaldehyde. Dr. Salk and his associates isolated more than 70 different strains of the three main types of polio, Brunhilde, Lansing and Leon. Salk then mixed the three different strains of the virus together, which by the way is very dangerous and unpredictable, and injected it into live monkeys, rabbits and mice. No human beings were ever tested.

Voila! He announced that a cure had been found, and mass media helped spread the propaganda. Nearly every American newspaper declared that Dr. Salk had abolished poliomyelitis. Immediately following the proclaimed prevention medicine for Polio, the Foundation for Infantile Paralysis ran press releases and lied, saying that Dr. Jonas Salk invented and tested this miracle drug. The foundation called for the manufacture of nine million doses for injecting children and pregnant women.

History shows disastrous news came after 9 million doses of polio vaccine were injected into humans – the inoculated children began contracting polio

Children immunized with the polio vaccine began shedding the virus (or combinations of it) to their parents and siblings. Vaccinated children became the new carriers, and just like today, Western Medicine blamed the unvaccinated, creating hysteria that spread across the nation. In June of 1955, the American Public Health Service announced nearly 150 confirmed cases of poliomyelitis among the vaccinated, including six deaths. Where on those victims did the paralysis begin? In the limb where the vaccine had been injected, of course. Coincidence? There’s more evidence the polio vaccine was a complete failure and the vaccinated children were spreading it, because polio had now struck in areas where there had been no cases reported for nearly a year. What happened next is astounding. The vaccine was suspended pending a full inquiry by the National Institute of Health (NIH).

The bottom line is that the “epidemic” of polio had already significantly declined by 1955, when the vaccine was first introduced. Polio was just a mild disease seldom resulting in paralysis. You see, after the “miracle” polio vaccine invention, the polio cases that did not result in paralysis were simply diagnosed by US doctors as meningitis, so that the ratio of new polio cases were severely skewed to intimidate and horrify the masses. It was all propaganda.

Plus, those new cases were mostly spread by shedders who had been inoculated with the polio vaccine, but the media blamed the unvaccinated, just like they do today with mumps and measles outbreaks. Plus, at the time, test results of the Salk vaccine were only based on data from the eleven (of the thirty-three) US states that favored the statistics the industry desired. Get it? The vaccine literally caused a rise in polio cases, but the epidemic was redefined.

What’s even scarier is the fact that the CDC vaccinated nearly 100 million Americans with polio shots that contained the cancer-causing SV40 virus, which was first discovered in monkeys back in 1960. Still wondering why so many kids suffer from childhood leukemia, bone cancer and non-Hodgkin lymphoma?

True medical history now reveals that Dr. Jonas F. Salk, the so-called “Father of Vaccines,” did not cure Polio at all, but rather created new strains of it and spread it to more innocent people through infected carriers called shedders. The CDC still to this day refuses to run a true double-blind, placebo-controlled study contrasting vaccinated vs. unvaccinated children.

Forbes.com is a huge publisher of extremist content that supports chemical violence against children /skepticsnews/2017-04-06-forbes-com-is-a-huge-publisher-of-extremist-content-that-supports-chemical-violence-against-children.html Thu, 06 Apr 2017 15:50:34 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/skepticsnews/2017-04-06-forbes-com-is-a-huge-publisher-of-extremist-content-that-supports-chemical-violence-against-children.html In case you haven’t noticed, major media distributors like Google and Facebook are on a crusade to rid the web of what they see as “extremist content” – that is, anything newsworthy that breaks the status quo narrative of what the globalists want you to believe is true about the world around you, even when it’s not true. But what about news outlets like Forbes.com, for instance, that routinely and flagrantly publish their own extremist content that advocates for continued chemical violence against children?

Forbes.com is notorious for publishing extremist content that pushes deadly vaccines, toxic herbicides and pesticides, untested genetically-modified organisms (GMOs), and other forms of depopulation on the masses. And yet, Forbes.com isn’t among those media outlets being targeted as part of this “extremist content” take-down by the establishment. Why? Because the position that Forbes.com takes on these issues is congruent with the pro-vaccine, pro-chemicals, pro-corporation agenda.

Take the 30 January 2017 Forbes.com article entitled “Trump, Vaccines, And Science Under Threat,” which blasts the Trump Administration for taking the issue of vaccine safety seriously. The article takes a salty tone towards the president’s position on this issue, which is merely to take a closer look at what vaccines might be doing to the nation’s children.

Forbes.com not only criticizes President Trump for questioning “science,” but also makes light of the autism epidemic, putting the word epidemic in quotes to insinuate that autism is not actually an epidemic. Try telling that to the 1-in-68 children that now fall on the autism spectrum, up from 1-in-150 just 15 or so years ago, and even lower in the decades prior.

This same Forbes.com hit piece on President Trump goes further, mocking his alleged rejection of the “compelling body of evidence supporting the safety and effectiveness of vaccines,” by referring to him as an “avid consumer of cable news and social media.” This, of course, is the way that Forbes.com attempts to manipulate its readers into likening questions of vaccine safety to kookiness or extreme gullibility.

Forbes.com loves GMOs and wants you to love them, too!

Vaccines aren’t the only issue for which Forbes.com bows at the altar of political correctness. As you may recall, former Forbes.com contributor, Jon Entine, published an almost weekly diatribe in support of GMOs and biotechnology. Jon Entine routinely took aim at those who pointed to independent science contradicting the official narrative of GMO safety, referring to such studies as bogus and false. He was later exposed by Natural News as a violent wife beater and deliberate journo-liar.

In 2014, Entine published a manifesto declaring, “The Debate About GMO Safety Is Over, Thanks To A New Trillion-Meal Study.” In typical form, Entine adamantly denied the existence of any evidence whatsoever suggesting that GMOs are unsafe, instead claiming that transgenic species are no different to natural ones.

Studies like those conducted by Gilles-Eric Séralini suggest otherwise – and with substantial and compelling evidence – but these are never enough for the likes of Entine and Forbes.com. Questioning the safety of GMOs, vaccines or any other sacred cow of “progress” is considered extremism, while promoting these very same things without a second thought is considered completely in line with reasonable thought.

As online and independent media grows, the establishment media has no choice but to try to censor it, hence this latest push at banning or blocking “extremist content.” However, much like the “fake news” foolishness that backfired on the mainstream media in a major way, trying to label all independent thought and news “extremist content” simply won’t work – the reading public is far more in-tune with what’s going on these days.
